A sandbox environment provides a safe space for you to develop and test changes or new features without affecting your live production instance of Channeltivity. This article outlines its features, how to request one, and important considerations for using it.
What is a Sandbox?
A sandbox is a copy of your production instance of Channeltivity. When we create a sandbox, we essentially copy your production instance to a separate environment. This setup allows you to experiment with new configurations and features safely without affecting your live data.
How Do I Request a Sandbox?
We can create a sandbox for you at no charge. To request your sandbox, simply submit a ticket to support@channeltivity.com.
Important Considerations:
- Changes in Sandbox Environments Cannot Be Pushed to Production. While the sandbox provides a safe space for testing, please note that any changes made in the sandbox cannot be pushed to production. You will need to manually recreate any desired changes in your live production instance.
- Email notifications are disabled in all sandbox environments. If you need to reset your password or grant access to new users, please contact our support team for assistance.
- The sandbox is a copy of your production instance as of a specific date. Changes made in production after that date will not be reflected in the sandbox. However, you can contact us to refresh your sandbox at any time to ensure it reflects the latest version of your production instance.
