Channeltivity's Deal Registration module empowers partners to register their deals quickly and efficiently, enabling vendors to track and manage the entire deal lifecycle. The module streamlines the deal registration process, ensuring fair and transparent opportunity management for both vendors and partners.
This article explains how the Deal Registration process works in Channeltivity between the partner and vendor. For an overview of how the Deal Registration module works with the Distributor module enabled, check out: What Is the Distributor Module and How Does It Work?
Deal Registration allows your partners to inform you of sales opportunities in their pipeline. You and your team can then collaborate to approve Deals, monitor progress, and track action items.
Submitting a Deal:
The Partner User logs into the portal and submits a Deal by completing the Deal Registration form in your Channeltivity portal. The Deal Registration Form includes the following data:
- Prospect Details - End-user customer account and contact information
- Deal Details - The standard fields include Deal name, Amount, Stage, and Close Date, but you can add additional custom fields for Partners to complete.

Throughout the Deal lifecycle, the Partner User is responsible for updating the Stage field on the Deal. The Stage field is an indicator of the Deal's completion probability, and it allows you to categorize and track the progress of Partner Deals. Each Stage has a probability associated that indicates the likelihood of closing the Deal.

You can add stage-specific content/instructions to each Stage to help Partners work more effectively with Deals throughout the sales cycle.

Also, Partner and Internal Users can collaborate on Deals by adding comments and uploading files to the History section of Deals. Adding a comment or file to the History section triggers a notification to the Users associated with the Deal.

Approving/Denying Deals:
Once the Deal is submitted, the configuration of your portal's Deal Email Notifications will determine the Internal Users that are notified (by Channeltivity) after the Deal is submitted. They can then manage the approval process by updating the Deal's Registration Status.

Salesforce & HubSpot Deal Registration Integrations:
If the Deal Registration Salesforce Integration is enabled in your portal, the new Deal Registration will create a corresponding Lead in your Salesforce CRM. This can be configured to happen automatically or on a manual basis. The integration can also be configured to import Salesforce Opportunities into Channeltivity as Deals Registrations.
