Most companies use a mix of off-the-shelf and/or custom applications to do business with their channel partners. Ideally, all these resources are accessible via Single Sign-On (SSO) from a central partner portal.
Channeltivity offers a number of tools that make it easy to integrate external applications into your partner portal. This article takes you through the steps of securely embedding and integrating a custom Web application with Channeltivity.
Step 1: Set up SSO
Single Sign-On (SSO) allows Channeltivity Users to log into your custom application without having to enter a separate username and password. You will need to configure Channeltivity as a SAML 2.0 Identity Provider and link it to your application.
Step 2: Embed your Application within Channeltivity
Once you have SSO working, add an iFrame Page or Link to the left navigation menu with the SSO jump page link (for SAML) or application link with placeholders (for Channeltivity's Proprietary Outgoing SSO).
Step 3 (optional): Get Additional Information
Your custom application is now securely linked from Channeltivity, but you may want to pull additional information about the User or their Organization to use within your application. Channeltivity's Data API allows you to easily look up a User's profile fields, Deal Registrations, Organization information etc.
